The history of the christian body can be dated as far back as the New Testament era in the year 33. The year 325 marked the beginning of the seven Ecumenical councils and the Nicene creed while the year 1988 marked 1000 years of Russian Orthodoxy. Studies have shown that there are more than twenty-six hundred denominations that claim the rights to be classified as the Christian monarchy or demand that there is a direct link between them and the true origin. The Christian faith however, was known to be a sole entity for at least the first one thousand years of its existence. It consisted of a collective body encompassing five Patriarchal centers known as Alexandria Constantinople, Jerusalem, Antioch and Rome who kept in extreme close communication with one and another. The Big Pull awayFrom time to time there clearly was a separation of smaller bodies but the core was kept intact until about 1000. In about 1045 the Roman Catholic movement braved a bold move and completely pulled away from the main body and capturing its leadership throughout the world up until present. Today in St Maarten numerous denominations of the christian faith are prevalent.
